Estupida chola

This happened early this morning, where I was taking a walk with Esperanza (her mom and her boyfriend are super hungover from Thanksgiving and she was sitting on our porch) and this chola perra gets in the middle of the sidewalk and says "Bueno, no eres una nina bonita?" or "Well, aren't you a pretty little girl?" I said to her ,"Alejate de ella!" ("Stay away from her!") and we kept walking. Esperanza gets scared when strangers compliment her, much like I do, and Senora Chola here wasn't talking about me because she was looking right at Esperanza.
I am a bit protective when it comes to my girls, I'm surprised I didn't slap that puta.
